None of this takes into account that Bisbee, and Jerome to some extent, is far more attractive than Tombstone in almost every regard. The houses and buildings, the layout of the streets, the wonderful geological embrace of the hills and the local terrain, which makes the main part of Bisbee feel like a village. The periphery and outlying neighborhoods are not too dissimilar from Tombstone and other small AZ towns, Benson and so forth, but Tombstone feels exposed, unprotected, isolated, whereas Bisbee feels warm and colorful, eccentric in a good way.
For me anyway, I should add that Bisbee, like Tucson, feels more culturally relevant than Phoenix or Tombstone.
